Gaze (the “App”) values your privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information generated during your use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the App for vestibular dizziness rehabilitation training and assessment, we may collect:

• Training-related measurement data generated through the front TrueDepth camera and face-tracking capabilities.
• Eye movement direction, gaze-related coordinates, head movement and head pose information, and blink-related values.
• Training performance, completion records, and recovery progress data.
• Questionnaire responses, symptom assessment results, and training plan information.
• A generated user identifier (User ID) used to associate training records.

2. Camera and Face-Tracking Data

The App uses the device’s front TrueDepth camera and Apple’s TrueDepth API to collect face-tracking related measurement data during training sessions. This data may include eye movement direction, gaze-related coordinates, head movement and head pose information, blink-related values, and timestamps and training performance measurements generated during the training process.

The App does not use face-related data for advertising, marketing, profiling, cross-app tracking, facial recognition, or identity verification.

The App does not collect or use face data for the purpose of identifying a person.

The App does not store raw TrueDepth camera images, raw depth maps, or face mesh data as images or videos. The App stores and processes derived measurement data and training records for rehabilitation training and assessment purposes.

3. How We Use This Information

We collect and process this information only for the following purposes:

• To provide vestibular dizziness rehabilitation training functions.
• To support interaction and feedback in eye-movement, head-movement, and related training modules.
• To evaluate your training performance, recovery progress, and current condition.
• To generate training records and support rehabilitation-effect analysis.
• To support model development, optimization, and future recovery assessment.
• To improve the App’s training plans, evaluation capabilities, and user experience.
• To support education, research, and academic analysis related to this graduation project.

4. Data Upload, Storage, and Retention

Training records and face-tracking related measurement data generated during training and assessment may be temporarily stored locally on the device as training record files and may also be uploaded to the developer’s dedicated server at https://www.gazeat.top for storage, rehabilitation progress evaluation, research analysis, and model development.

Data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the rehabilitation training, assessment, research, and analysis purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell face data and do not share face data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Except for server-side processing necessary to provide the App’s core functionality, we do not sell, rent, or arbitrarily disclose your personal data to unrelated third parties. We may disclose necessary information where required by applicable law or legal obligation.

6. Withdrawal and Data Deletion

If a participant would like to withdraw from the research or request deletion of previously collected data, they may contact annanicloe@foxmail.com.

After withdrawal, the App will no longer allow continued participation in the research flow unless consent is provided again. If a deletion request is submitted, we will handle the deletion of related data within the scope reasonably practicable and in accordance with applicable law and research management requirements.

7. Data Security

We value data security and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
